There are a variety of alternate hexes for Catan. I buy sticky labels, and then print them out, stick them onto these hex's. So far I've made a few alternate kits, great for presents. Note that if you are rolling your own hexes you have two sides with these - you don't have to make the second side blue like the standard hexes that come with sea farers.FOG variant: You can use them as they are for 'fog'. Idea is that when you explore and reach 'fog', remove the hex to see if there is sea or land. Some variants give you the resource when you discover land. (Intended for ships.)

These will be perfect to make our own Catan tiles. Same size as the games - and we can paint or draw whatever we want!

This purchase was my mistake, the company did not say they were. I had purchased other game design stuff from them and it all was dry erase so I assumed. But they are good quality, just not useful for my needs.

I like to modify games… so while Catan is a completely awesome game, it amused me to make various replacement tiles for the “desert” hexagon, and these hexagons are the exact fit for Catan! Great quality in every respect.

We used these as the guest book at our wedding and they worked great! They come in sheets that you pop the pieces out of (so they are not damaged at all in shipping) and they are the same shape and size as the pieces from Catan! We had everyone write with sharpie and it held nicely and did not smudge. they are good quality so I was not worried about them being ruined if it rained or if someone spilled a drink. Thank you!

My son loves to create his own games. These pieces are a gift and he hasn’t seen them yet. He will love being able to draw whatever he wants on them. They are kind if expensive - that’s my only drawback. Usually he cuts his own. We would probably buy more if they were cheaper.

Originally came badly damaged but Apostrophe Games corrected the issue. This is the first time I've had to return anything on Amazon, overall a positive experience. The game tiles themselves are good for my intended diy project.
