Doesn't consistently register shots, and needs to be checked after every hole.
I've been using the Arccos system for about 3 years now and have about 100 rounds recorded in it. I do enjoy the app, but as you'll notice below, there are a lot of improvements that are needed in the mobile app. After 3 years of using the system, Arccos has come out with new sensors (360), a new caddie feature (a paid feature that includes club selection via wind and elevation calculations), and a fantastic web dashboard. However, they have not updated the mobile app or fixed any of the issues I've sent them since day 1 of using the app. I've asked them to add tee boxes, fix holes, address the OOB/Water problem, chunked club problem, 'move shots' button, etc. but have mostly received pushback from their Support.Pros:1. Passive shot detection and distance calculation works most of the time2. Deep analysis of collected data from golf rounds is detailed and extremely useful3. Sensor integration is easy to install and setup4. Website dashboard is fantasticCons:1. Batteries die in sensors without warning (replaced 20 or so batteries over the course of ~3 years) and/or need to be resynced consistently (this is not an issue with the 360's, but rather with the Gen-1's)2. Passive shot detection is fickle - putts especially aren't accurate and require constant checking3. App needs to be checked after every hole to correct scores of missed shots or additional shots that weren't taken negating the passive shot collection aspect of the tool.4. No GHIN integration5. No OOB or Water Hazard support - you must set a shot as +2 penalty, but with no tracking of where you hit the first (or any thereafter). If you have more than one OOB, you'll need to manually add an additional shot and set it to +2 as well with the distance being 0. If you hit it in the water then drop at a later point, the distance will calculate between your first shot and the dropped shot with no way to indicate otherwise.6. App has no way to manually move onto the next hole and sometimes can get stuck on a hole and not move on to the next resulting in a problem that may take you 5-10 minutes to fix which may not be possible given the pace of play. This can ruin your entire round.7. Tee's and hole aerial shots aren't always accurate and have no way to submit feedback easily during a round. They do have a "contact" section buried somewhere in the app, but I don't remember where it is.8. If the hole isn't accurate, and a shot occurs off the visible canvas of the hole, there's no way to correct that shot as you cannot pan or select it. This will also ruin a round.9. If a hole's flag placement or green placement isn't accurate, you cannot fix this either so you may end up with 120yrd putts in an instance where the course isn't correct and the flag in Arccos is 120yrds away from where it is in reality.10. Putting from off green always assumes you're putting and requires you to manually switch your putt's to "chips" in order for them to not be counted as putts. Regardless of where they occur on the course. This is odd considering it automatically detects sand shots.11. If you chunk a shot with one club and need to hit again, you'll need to manually add that second shot via the app after you hit. There's no passive way to tell the app that you're hitting the second shot.12. There is a 'move shot' feature that allows you to re-sort the holes you've played in the sequence of shots (think like if it recorded Dr, 7i, 2putt, then Dr on hole 4, you could drag hole 5 between 2putt and Dr and have the second Dr go to hole 5... I hope that makes sense). However, you're not able to literally "move" the sequence of shots (if Arccos messed up in how it recorded the sequence of shots), or select where a shot should be added in a sequence. This can be a huge problem if you somehow hit a tree and went backward, or did something less than "normal" on the golf course.13. If you use a club (I use my 4-iron) to consistently get out of trouble, and you use it more to do that then you would to hit it off a tee or from a fairway, your stats for that club will be off with no way to fix it. The app does do "smart distance" which should remove outliers from your shots, but if your rescue shots are the majority of your shots, the app has no way to know this and will use those distances as your primary distance for that club. As a result of me using my 4-iron to get out from under trees frequently, the app says my 4-iron goes 180yrds and my 5-iron goes 195yrds. Obviously, that is not the correct distance for my 4-iron.

GET THIS SYSTEM! GET IT NOW! YOU WILL THANK ME
I will preface this review by promising I do not work for Arccos. Before this past Saturday, I had never really heard of Arccos, but you may not believe me after my review. I am now their biggest fan, and I have only owned the system for 4 days.I have never LOVED a product so much in my life. I met one of the sales representatives, Jared, at a Golf Expo in Calif. He was unlike most sales people I know. He seemed really straight forward, and no nonsense, but I moved on, and I did not buy the system. However, I kept thinking about what a great idea this is, if only it really worked. I visited the Arccos booth again, and asked Jared some really serious questions like, no really, what is the tech learning curve on this?? He said it is minimal, but I have had GPS systems alone that took tons of time to learn which button does what, etc. He showed me how to put the tabs into the clubs, and how to pair. I somehow trusted him, and I bought the system.I was excited, but I was nervous too. No way will this set up be this easy.I set aside two hours Saturday night to get all my clubs cleaned (20 mins) and put them into my new bag, and get it organized, and set up the system. What a joke. The set up was as easy as Jared alleged. Screw the tabs in, pair with the app and done. I read the directions and went on YouTube just because I thought I must have missed something. I did not. It was that simple! And I still had time for some cocktails and cleaning up the patio. It seriously took 15 minutes, including reading the instructions, ALL OF THEM.I played with the system the next day, on Sunday, and I golfed with 3 men. 2 of whom I had never met. However, all 3 were over my shoulder for the first 3 holes wanting to watch this system in action. Arccos has a GPS system that is amazing, but it is so much more. I know the Arccos GPS is accurate because one of my golf partners checked it on his very expensive GPS (sucks that his expensive GPS does nothing more)At the end of the round, we all gathered to look at all of the stats that I now have. All 3 of them wrote down the name of they system and swore they would have it as soon as they could find it.I was so excited to play on Sunday. I even asked my friend to drive the cart, so I could learn my new system, but I did not need that. Learn, learn what? It does it all itself. I stuck the phone in my back pocket, and I was off ! I pulled it out for the gps on every hole, and at the end I still had over 60% battery life.I am a 9 hole golfer, and I golf 2 times a week. I do not have a handicap (although this system will track that for me now), and I am not a serious golfer. However, this system will improve my game, make me enjoy rounds more, and tell me where my game is lacking .Any golfer owes it to themselves to get this system. Why would someone not get this? Seriously, my only regret is not getting it the day after it came out. I mean it, if you love golf even half as much as I do, get this, and you will not regret it

Expensive, but worth it.
Played 2 rounds with it now and it is fantastic.Firstly I got it delivered from the states in 2 days, with proper tracking all the way. £20 is steep for delivery but it was great service so money well spent. The tracking widgets are easy to set up and it started working as soon as I teed off. The GPS data on the phone is as good as a top level hand held, and so far battery life is OK. I hacked about for over 5 hours and went from 90% to 30% on my 18m old iPhone 6.Course details are OK, I was worried that UK courses might not be covered but all my local courses are on there, although Milford in Surrey it misses out the 18th tee and assumes the hole starts from the drop zone on the other side of the water. I guess course accuracy will improve after it gets a proper UK distributor, but it's still pretty good. The only operational issue I've come across is that I could only record 2 penalty shots per hole, and I put three in the water on one hole. It might be possible but I haven't figured out how. It picks up shots and distance well and I've only had it miss two shots so far.It is already creating average distances and provides really useful data. Easily my best golf gadget.

Great concept, poor execution
Great concept, poor execution.First, check if the main courses you play at are covered by their databases, some are not (including where my father is a member, hence could not offer it as a gift)Second, even on a top course like Blackwolf Run - River, a double green creates confusion when getting to the 9th hole, it puts the flag on the wrong part of the greenThird, sensors are not reliable, I lost the 2-hybrid during my 2nd round and the putter during the 3rd, and because you cannot unpair and repair during a round, it's a pain in the ass to add shots, you end up looking at your screen rather than enjoying the roundFinally, as everyone noticed, it drains a regular iPhone 6 battery inside 18 holes, I bought a mophie juice pack to alleviate that, but it's expensive and the combined weight of the phone and the pack is a bit heavy to carry i your back pocket during a round (and if you play in a cart, you have to be comfortable sitting on your phone every time)All in all, accurate when it works, map of each hole with variable distances is helpful, but only if you could set and forget, which is not the case right now

Convenient, but still under development
Works quite well during the round, with few erroenously registered strikes. Some editing, for example to add penalites. It is obvious that the app on different platforms is still developing, since there are obvious bugs (mostly possible to work around).I requested the addition of a course that was not covered. Adding it took less than a week.A drawback is that it only seems to accept full 18-hole rounds. I had to give up a round on account of thunder, and the data was not stored to the cloud.

Looking forward to getting down to single figures using the insight provided by this product.
This does exactly what it claims to do. Simple to pair each club.So far I've played 3 rounds 85,84 &82. The feedback I get from the analalysis has already highlighted. The areas of my game which I need to improve.I have found the App GPS to give very accurate yardages when using it on my iPhone 6.I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
