I got this unit for paranormal use and it works great for that. I really like this unit yes there is better but you will pay $$$$. for that but for my use it works great 5 stars. Unit eats batt. fast I tried Energizer recharge batt. but they do not seem to work cause unit on batt. meter only shows 1 bar which last 8 mins. But cheap batt. on meter show full bar's.Again over all 5 stars. P.S. I did use this unit to fix my refrigerator was ready to buy a new one. But only thing that was bad was the seal to the door $50.00 buck fix VS $900.00 to replace refrigerator. Again 5 stars.

The only con is the screen is very hard to see when outdoors.

Picture not great (60*60), but visible overlay and automatic hi/low very useful.

I read the instructions, tried it and no heat signatures. So re-read the instructions and tried again. After several tries still no heat signature. I was able to get a faint heat signature on my cat and my leg. Just doesn’t work on walls.

It's not enough tool for the job. it's a little better than a decent IR thermometer, but I found it just didn't have enough resolution to provide a good enough image for the jobs I have. I think I will return. I figure for different jobs, it may be much more helpful and be worthwhile. Just not for mine.

Even though I still have to use it in the field, I was concerned if the resolution was good enough to distinguish what heat return was from what object. I tried it at home and I can see with the "overlay" ability that should not be a problem A thermal imager has been the ghost hunter's "Holy Grail". This one should be just fine.

Did my research against more expensive units. I was not able to get a unit that offered the features and ease of use as this unit. The price was perfect. The only thing is the clock is in 24HR as opposed to 12H. Besides that I am happy with the unit and recommend it.

Works great instructions sucks, this is two (2) 3/4 inch hot water lines behind Sheetrock,, found them with ease with this product!! As stated above though “the Instructions really really suck” !!
