DSE Cystex Urinary Tablets, 100 Count

I don't have a UTI, but I have cystitis. I went to the doctor twice for it. My bladder always feels very swollen and achy. When I void, there is sharp cramping. I happened to see this on a shelf and tried it. I took one. OM word!!!!! It was a miracle! All my symptoms disappeared. 9 months of pain and everything just disappeared. I don't know what I have, but this gave me my life back. I was considering having my bladder removed because I just couldn't live with the pain. It hurt just to walk. Every time my foot hit the ground my bladder ached. Forget sleeping through the night and I pee'd like 20+ times a day. Everything is gone and I'm back to normal and sleeping through the night. I say try it.

I am giving this one star ONLY because I wanted the Cystex for preventing UTI. I took the plainkind for years and for the most part, I have been symptom free for almost 18 months. This has a pain reliever and I don't need that unless I have a bladder infection.I haven't been able to find the "plain" in stores either. I have switched to an herbal supplement "D-Mannose.Being a retired nurse, my head is still in the Western form of healing. Starting supplements could be a good thing.

This product seems to work when having a UTI, the price was once reasonable, but the price keeps going up and making the product no longer a value product.

My doctor told me this doesn't work for gram positive bacteria, though i took it anyway just for the urinary relief, and it did it's job.

I'm going to chime in with all the other reviews! I was surprised by this UTI infection out of nowhere. I haven't had an infection of this type since childhood and had to figure it out quickly or head to the ER. I thought at first it was period or ovulation pains but once that was over I realized it was something else. After a little research online, I immediately drank cranberry juice (sugar free) and when the pain subsided I realized I was right! I ordered these pills and they came fast! Within hours the pain was under control. From what I understand, I still need to head to the doctor for an examination or antibiotics, but I will try this for a few days to see how it goes! I highly recommend this! A Godsend!

Unfortunately, this did not work. It only caused stomach ache.Try Himalaya Uricare. I only had to wake up once at night to go bathroom.No side effect.

Cystex is fabulous for helping get rid of the bacteria that contributes to a bladder infection, but is near worthless to me as a pain reliever. To get rid of the pain (which is so bad it will keep you awake at night) I ONLY recommend, products that contain phenazopyridine hydrochloride (this is the stuff that makes your urine orange). Yes I know the latter stains (so I'll wear a panty liner and deal) better that then the pain.When making your own decision, you of course have to do what's right for you, but if your pain is intense, and those suffering know what I'm referring to, imagine or remember that pain (if you aren't actually experiencing it now as you read this) and then imagine taking an aspirin for THAT pain. I rest my case. So for bacteria, take Cystex, but for the pain, take the OTC meds with phenazopyridine hydrochloride if you want relief with NO guesswork (because it's that that most docs prescribed before it became OTC) which I know from decades of experience. Be sure to drink lots of water to get this medicine working through your urinary tract for fastest relief.That said, if you suffer from regular UTI's keep BOTH Cystex AND some product that contains the phenazopyridine hydrochloride on hand, because UTIs strike at the most inopportune times, and end those rushed midnight trips to the store for relief.Commonly available OTC meds that contain phenazopyridine hydrochloride are products by Uristat or AZO (but there are different formulas, so make sure you get the right one). Note I am not affiliated with ANY of the companies that provide these OTC meds...I am simply an unfortunate sufferer of UTIs with years of experience with these products.Good luck...get well.
